Proud to join 'Authors from IT-IIT-IIM' club

"How the hell an Engineer can write an English novel?", is the question which I usually notice over the faces of people with whom I get introduced. These people mostly are either students of journalism or arts. Over this I have a cross question, "Don't Engineers have a freedom to express?" Yes they have, after all we are human beings too. Though our profession deals mainly with science or research or business, we too have feelings, thoughts and dreams. All
these things hardly get any chance to come out into public, as far as the scope of our profession is concerned. The case with IT people is the worst. We are screwed up with deadlines. Hence a person like me will fully utilize the free time which he gets on the weekends to enjoy the life. It may also involve writing. Again Engineers are creative by nature and as they rightly say it, 'Creativity has no challenge'!

Here are the names of a few English authors in India, with an IT/IIT/IIM background. Mine is the longest. Ha ha!

Amitabha Bagchi (IIT)
Chetan Bhagat (IIT and IIM)
Karan Bajaj (IIM)

Ravi Subramanian (IIM)

Satyajit Deshmukh (IT professional)
Tushar Raheja (IIT)
